Chilham Castle is a storied Kent estate reimagined for modern luxury, drawing on the enchantment of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Inspired by the play’s shift from folklore to playful wonder, we shaped a digital experience that bridges dream and reality—inviting guests into an elegant, immersive stay from the very first click.
Our brief was to transform the website into a true digital home that elevates the experience of staying at Chilham. We refined the brand language with a deep burgundy palette—adding warmth, richness, and a quietly regal character—balanced by calm neutrals. Hand-rendered pencil illustrations introduce storytelling and a touch of magic, while considered typography, movement, and layout create a polished, contemporary feel. We restructured content around the journey of a stay and streamlined the booking path to be clear and effortless. The result is a luxury online experience—crafted, expressive, and unmistakably Chilham.
